Senior Project Manager

Mr. Plisko provides technical consulting services to government agencies and commercial & industrial clients in the areas of industrial hygiene, safety & health, and environmental protection. Specific activities include industrial hygiene surveys and exposure assessments, facility audits, risk evaluations, and research for decision-making support. Additional duties include the preparation of health and safety plans, performance of indoor air quality evaluations, and protocol development for site auditing.

Mr. Plisko also has expertise in assisting clients in the recycling industry, including those engaged in the recycling/recovery of resources such as ferrous and non-ferrous metals, ships, cars, paper, electronics, electrical transformers, and industrial solvents.

He has developed inspection and sampling protocols for identification and remediation of PCB's and other regulated materials aboard decommissioned US Navy and MARAD ships as well as privately owned vessels intended for scrapping and reefing.

Mr. Plisko has developed inspection protocols under the IMO's Green Passport program, which was recently adopted by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). The IMO/ABS Green Passport program requires that a vessel owner compile an inventory, known as the Part 1 Inventory, of the hazardous and/or potentially hazardous materials utilized in the construction of a ship’s structure and equipment/systems, including location and quantity/volume of each.

Reefing projects include 1) ex-USS Spiegel Grove (LSD 32), which was sunk off of Key Largo, FL in 2002, 2) the ex-USS Kittiwake (ASR 13), sunk off the Cayman Islands in January 2011, and 3) the ex-USS Arthur W. Radford (DD 968), reefed off of the DE, NJ, MD Atlantic coast in August 2011.
